Fiona Crozier

Fiona has worked in higher education (specifically in quality assurance) nationally and internationally, for over 30 years.

She is experienced in the development, implementation and operationalisation of national, international and institutional quality assurance (QA) systems.

Her most recent post was Head of International at QAA UK. Prior to that she was Director of Quality at University College Cork from 2013-2015. Overall, her CV demonstrates experience and understanding of both internal quality assurance (IQA) and external quality assurance and regulatory systems and the impact that is the result of the relationship between the two.

She has worked as an independent consultant since 2019, engaging in multiple projects nationally and globally from Europe to South East Asia and Africa, including the development of a new system to externally assure the IQA systems at universities in Israel, the operation of an innovative approach to IQA at two UK universities and several international projects set up to evaluate the impact of the introduction and implementation of regional standards for QA in HE. Involvement in capacity building projects and the development and articulation of regional QA frameworks in Europe, ASEAN and Africa to facilitate international trust and partnerships are also included in her portfolio of experience.

She sits on the Quality and Standards and Executive Committees of three UK institutions and two Spanish QA agencies.
