Integrating Programmes for Students with Intellectual Disabilities in Irish Higher Education - INHEF

ThreeSixtyInsights provided support to the Inclusive National Higher Education Forum (INHEF) a national interest group comprised of representatives of higher education providers and other professionals interested in supporting access routes and inclusive education initiatives to learners with intellectual disabilities in Ireland (2025-2026). The project entailed a survey of INHEF members and a series of reflective workshops (co-designed by ThreeSixtyInsights and INHEF representatives) for students with ID. In April 2026, the Trinity Centre for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities hosted a half day event, during which ThreeSixtyInsights facilitated a hands-on Lego Serious Play session for INHEF members. The workshop explored learning from experience to date about the stages of the learner journey for students with ID and ‘what works’ on the ground.
