Regional Skills Assessments – South East Technological University  

ThreeSixtyInsights was appointed by South East Technological University (SETU) to undertake an assessment of lifelong learning needs in the South East of Ireland (2024) and a subsequent assessment of Post-Primary Teacher Education Needs (2026).

The work was commissioned to inform SETU’s response to the burgeoning need for university-level lifelong learning provision in the region. The project was informed by a comprehensive desk-review of relevant and recent skills reports and data, followed by a series of focused interviews with targeted regional stakeholders. The 2024 skills assessment report presented a series of skills snapshots highlighting in demand skills and roles for sectors including Agriculture & Forestry | Biopharma & Life Science | Specialised Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing | Blue & Green Economy | ICT, Digital Technology & Financial Technology | Tourism, Hospitality & Culture Industries | Global Business Services & Financial Services | Construction.
