Meta-Evaluation of Sport Ireland’s Dormant Account Funds Investment – Sport Ireland

ThreeSixtyInsights was appointed by Sport Ireland to undertake a meta evaluation of previously evaluated Dormant Accounts Funds (DAF) projects (2025 – 2026). DAF allows unclaimed funds from accounts in credit institutions in Ireland to be utilised for projects focused on overcoming the barriers and challenges to participation in sport for those who are economically or educationally disadvantaged, or those affected by a disability. The meta-evaluation entailed a comprehensive desk review of evaluation reports, data and process documentation and direct stakeholder engagement with representatives of Local Sports Partnerships and National Governing Bodies. A social network analysis was also undertaken to address meta-evaluation objectives and further inform the findings and recommendations.
